- Jurisdiction: The power of a court to decide a case; the competent court.
- Legal tech: The digitalisation of legal work; any digital tool applied to legal work.
- Prompt: The instruction given to a chatbot.
- Self-executing law: Intergovernmental rules that apply directly to companies and individuals without transposition into national law (otherwise: non-self-executing).
- Soft law: Rules of private organisations, not enforced by state authorities but by the organisations themselves (self-regulation).
- Uniform private law: Rules drafted by international organisations so that the same rules apply regardless of where the parties are based.
