Learning objectives

    • Understanding the political and economic purpose of competition law
    • Know the circumstances under which antitrust law and fair trade law are applied, and what their different functions are
    • Know the main cases of antitrust law and be able to subsume practical cases under them
    • Knowledge of the principle of good faith underlying fair trade law and the ability to apply this principle and fair trade law to practical cases
    • Knowledge of the principle of impact or marketplace and the ability to apply it to practical cases in competition law
