- Knowledge of the requirements for a legally valid contract conclusion in civil law and the additional element in common law.
- Knowledge of the legal relevance of the title of a contract, the contracting parties listed in the contract and the signatures.
- Be able to check the contracting parties and signatories on the Central Business Name Index (ger. Zentraler Firmenindex) zefix.ch.
- Knowledge of the various forms of contracts in Swiss law.
- Be familiar with qualified digital signatures under Swiss law as an example of a digital signature and understand how they work in principle.
- Know how contracts in long-term relationships end or can be terminated, and be able to draft a legally clear termination clause.
- Knowledge of the most important principles of contract drafting and their significance.
- Understand the importance and legally responsible use of standard contracts and be able to draft a contract using a chatbot such as ChatGPT or Google Gemini.
- Understanding the importance of coordinating contracts within a contract framework and with contracts outside a contract framework.
- Know what a letter of intent, a non-disclosure agreement and a non-use agreement are,
- understand their key elements, understand the relationship between them and be able to create simple drafts of them.
- Know what general terms and conditions are, understand their purpose and be familiar with the legal principles that apply to general terms and conditions under Swiss law.
- Know the relevance, purpose and elements of a licence agreement.
